What is A Year in the Word?

A Year in the Word is for anyone who wants to regularly read, understand, and apply God’s Word. For the first time ever, as a church body we will journey through reading the entire Bible together so we can grow in understanding, strengthen our community, and let God’s Word transform our everyday life. You can use our Bible Reading Plans for your daily readings. We will then gather together on Sunday to dive deeper into a passage from the Bible. We’re excited to go deeper in God’s Word together!

WHY IS FIRST BAPTIST MONT BELVIEU DOING A YEAR IN THE WORD?

Throughout church history, God’s people have gathered around Scripture together. While reading God’s Word individually helps you personally grow in your devotion, there is something powerful and special about reading it together. A Year in the Word will be a tool for community groups, families, serving groups, ministries, and friends at First Baptist to experience deeper unity as everyone reads and shares from the same passages throughout the year.

What are some practical ways to stay consistent with the year-long Bible reading plan?

I am behind on the reading plan. How to get caught up?
