Kameron Skinner Memorial Fund

From Tragedy to Legacy:
The Heartbeat of the Kameron Skinner Fund

On Tuesday afternoon, July 15, 2014, tragedy struck. Kameron Skinner, along with her boyfriend Aaron Campise and his mother Nicol Campise, were involved in a devastating auto accident that claimed the lives of Kameron and Nicol.

Kameron was poised to begin her sophomore year at Barbers Hill High School in Mont Belvieu, Texas. She had been an active member of the girls’ track and basketball teams her freshman year and had a passion for competitive cheerleading before high school. Known for her friendly and inclusive nature, Kameron’s presence brought joy to all who knew her.

A devoted member of First Baptist Church, Kameron had a deep love for Jesus Christ and a desire to share that love with others. Her commitment to faith was profoundly shaped by her experience at Super Summer, a Christian camp dedicated to teaching students to know and share the gospel. This transformative experience ignited a spiritual fire within Kameron, radiating through her life and relationships.

In honor of Kameron’s enduring spirit, her parents, David & Terry Beck, established the Kameron Skinner Memorial Fund. This fund aims to provide financial support for kids and students to attend Christian summer camps, ensuring they have the opportunity to encounter God in transformative ways, just as Kameron did. To expand its reach, the fund also helps to support mission teams go on short-term trips, bringing the gospel to places of need.

The Kameron Skinner Memorial Fund symbolizes the journey from tragedy to lasting legacy. It stands as a beacon of hope, continuing to reflect Kameron’s vibrant life and contagious faith for God’s glory.
